01 / How I work

1. Initial call

   We'll talk about you and your project, what you're trying to achieve, any constraints you're working with, and how you like to work.

2. Agree the work

   After the call I'll recommend a direction and what that would look like. We'll refine the plan until we're both happy with it.

3. Kick off build

   I'll start by building a small working version and let you know when it's ready to ship.

4. Review and decide next steps

   Once a version is done you review it, and we decide together where to go next.

• Help deciding what to build

  I'm thorough, and I'll let you know what's possible. I'll help break the problem down and decide what to build first, not just build it.

• Fast prototypes, then builds that last

  Sometimes you need a rough version fast, to learn from. Sometimes it's a deeper build that's easy to maintain and extend. I'll build what fits.

• Decisions and costs, flagged early

  I'll tell you what a decision might cost later, or what would make things hard to change, so we can balance speed and quality as we build.

• Honest about my limits

  If something needs a specialist outside my area, such as compliance or brand design, I'll tell you.
